To start out with I must say I am an animal lover…
However, in my experience many potential purchasers are uncomfortable with animals in property when they view.
It can be a territorial thing… some animals are just on edge with new people and some just want to be their best friend and jump up to say hello!! Either way it can be distracting…
Then there is also the odour and potential slobber to take into consideration!
As I said before I am an animal lover, however, we all know that some animals have a certain pong that may surround them especially in the winter time and “Eau de wet dog” is not the best first impression for a prospective purchaser.
As such, it is our recommendation that animals perhaps goes out for a walk or in extreme circumstances perhaps stay with a friend or family close by so that there are no unnessesary distractions.
My most memorable experience of this, was a big cuddle from a soggy St Bernard!
