Traditionally, Easter used to be the catalyst for a surge in marketing activity, but everything has moved forward, and the savvy seller will consider marketing in the New Year, with a view to hopefully moving in the spring.
Often vendors have to consider schools, family holidays etc., so this makes perfect sense, freeing up the summer months to make your new home your own, and perhaps enjoy time in the garden, whilst safe in the knowledge that the new school year will not be disrupted, and your holiday will not get in the way of the big day.
Likewise, if you don’t have to consider children and holidays, it still makes sense to market in the New Year, as those that do will be on the lookout for their next home!
