In my opinion parking is almost essential.
I say almost because there are some circumstances in the city centre where there are investors purchasing to rent and it will not be so important.
The rest of the time it is essential.
Even if you don’t drive and don’t own a car you must consider re-sale and your potential purchaser will likely need room for a vehicle.
In my experience properties without parking that are not city centre location are difficult to sell and will generally go for significantly below their competition with parking in a similar location.
Parking prices can range from £6000 – £7000 to significantly higher in the city centre, as much as £50,000.
