When I first started in this business 20 or so years ago my boss used to say to me “when a buyer walks in a house it takes six seconds for them to make a decision”. These days when people are rolling on the Internet, on phones and tablets I think that initial impression is closer to half a second!
Because of this I am a firm believer that curb appeal for property must be as high as possible.
So this means not just having a tidy garden and weeding the driveway, pruning the trees and trimming the hedge but also hiding the wheelie bins and putting up a name plaque so people can easily locate the property. It doesn’t stop there, it’s recommended to open the curtains each day and to make sure the frontage stays in a tidy condition because buyers may do a drive by at any time.
First impressions count both in person and more importantly online, we can give you advice on what is necessary to make your home look at its best and if you interested in discussing this please call 01603 432000.
