9 times out of 10 my answer would be no.
Looking at this from a buyer’s point of view, if they fit their own kitchen they will make the right choice. It is very difficult to second-guess what a buyer wants when you don’t know who they are.
We have also experienced over the last few years that properties requiring some work are far more in demand than those properties presented in good condition.
Why would this be the case? It’s because people can’t afford to buy what they really want and therefore will buy a property one step below their requirements on the property ladder with the idea that they will grow into this property and make it suitable over a period of time.
These comments probably go against the grain when you watch the TV programmes showing you how to get the best price… But many of those programs do not take into consideration how busy our lives are and how much time we realistically have to dedicate to a refurbishment project whilst thinking about a move at the same time!
We give advice on how to present your home to its full potential with a minimum outlay. We may be able to save you some time and frustration prior to your move. If we can help we will, call us on 01603 432000.
